When You Fall, Do Not Be a Cockroach

Once, I saw a cockroach lying upside down on the floor. It was struggling hard but couldn’t get back up. As I watched it, a thought struck me — I should never remain like this when I fall. Instead, I want to be like a rubber ball that bounces back immediately after hitting the ground.

Sometimes, when we fall into sin, we take a long time to return to God. But we shouldn’t stay down like that. We are not like cockroaches — God has given us the strength to rise again.

The Bible says, “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again” (Proverbs 24:16).

Let me always be quick to rise and return to God whenever I stumble.
