Jesus Seeks the Broken || Just a voice

“...I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Mark 2:17 BSB

The religious leaders were shocked that Jesus chose Levi, a tax collector, as His disciple. To them, tax collectors were traitors—collaborators with Roman oppressors for personal gain. But Jesus not only called Levi; He dined with him and other outcasts. Just as a doctor seeks the sick and a mechanic serves the broken, Jesus came to heal and restore sinners. He was drawn to those who knew their need, not those confident in their own righteousness.

Too often, we think we must fix ourselves before coming to God. But Jesus meets us in our mess. We cannot cleanse ourselves to perfection—only He can transform us. No heart is too dark, no sin too deep. If you’re willing, Jesus will come into your life. God loves the sinner but hates the sin. He accepts you just as you are—but He loves you too much to leave you that way.
