30th April 2026 -Session 2 - Bearing The Dying Of Jesus To Manifest His Life - Parisutham (Manifesting the Life of Jesus)

Organized Summary Notes: “Manifesting the Life of Christ – Faith, Humility, Obedience & Paying the Cost”

(Third message in the series – CFC Bangalore Conference)

1. Main Theme & Central Challenge

  • This message builds directly on Bro. Zac Poonen (morning) and Bro. Annie (previous session).
  • To manifest the life of Jesus (2 Cor 4:10-12), we must carry the dying of Jesus daily.
  • The foundation for this is living faith in God’s almighty power, love, and sovereignty.
  • Hebrews 11:6 – “Without faith it is impossible to please Him.”
  • True discipleship is not free — it costs everything:
    • Humility (judgment taken away)
    • Obedience (which equals suffering)
    • Complete trust in God (especially when misunderstood, despised, or lacking resources).
  • Manifesting Christ starts with dying; the end result is resurrection life flowing through us.

3. Core Truths Explained

A. Humility = Judgment Taken Away (Acts 8:33)

  • Like a lamb (not roaring like a lion), we keep quiet under false accusations and misunderstanding.
  • Jesus remained silent before Pilate and on the cross because of faith — “Nothing can happen to Me without My Father’s permission.”
  • Old Testament example: David & Shimei (2 Samuel 16) — David refused to retaliate because “God has permitted it.”
  • Practical cost: Our name may be damaged, false stories may spread — but we live before God, not for man’s approval (John 5:34).

B. Obedience = Suffering & Dying to Self (Hebrews 5:8)

  • Obedience always involves an inner “No!” to our own will.
  • Example from Bro. Zac: Jesus drops the bat and obeys Mary → immediate inner suffering/death to self.
  • Galatians 2:20: We must be crucified with Christ so that His life can be manifested outwardly.

C. Faith in God’s Sovereignty & Love

  • Nothing touches us without God’s permission.
  • When insulted, despised, or unrecognized → look to God, not people.
  • Inner strife (flesh vs. Spirit) is won only by the Holy Spirit’s power.
  • We must taste God’s goodness in small things (Psalm 34:8) so faith grows for bigger trials.

D. Practical Areas of Faith

  • Finances & Provision: Free from the love of money (Heb 13:5-6). God is our Helper. Personal testimony: Speaker married both children and built a house without any debt — God provided exactly as promised.
  • Family & Marriage: Speaker’s daughter offered to wait and earn for her own wedding; speaker replied, “You do your duty; God will meet the need.” God did.
  • Children & Authority: Children faced insults in Catholic school for skipping catechism and obeying parents’ instructions on sports/exams. Speaker taught them: “Obey the teachers — it will go well with you.” (Echoing Bro. Zac’s message on submission.)

4. Personal Testimonies

  • Children’s education & school persecution: Teachers insulted children for moral instruction instead of catechism and for skipping special sports events. Speaker always taught obedience and never defended them publicly.
  • Daughter’s marriage: Daughter understood financial constraints and offered to wait/earn. Speaker trusted God — both children married and house built debt-free.
  • Elijah & widow example: God sends provision in impossible ways (ravens, widow with last meal) to build faith, not dependence on the means.

5. Practical Applications & Warnings

  • Start small: Taste God’s goodness in daily life → faith grows for big trials.
  • When misunderstood or falsely accused: Give facts if needed (esp. serious matters), then keep quiet and leave it to God.
  • Do not seek man’s approval or recognition.
  • Discipleship costs:
    • To stay humble → pay the cost
    • To obey → pay the cost
    • To trust God fully → pay the cost
  • First step of salvation is free; discipleship is costly.
  • God’s timing: Joseph, Bro. Zac leaving the Navy — endure with patience until the appointed time.

6. Closing Prayer & Exhortation

  • Examine your heart: Is this the anointing we are seeking?
  • Jesus’ heart was never shaken no matter what He faced.
  • Prayer: “Lord, give us an unshakable life through the Holy Spirit. Help us walk in Jesus’ footsteps, beholding Him daily.”
  • Final challenge: Taste and see that the Lord is good → develop a close, personal relationship with Jesus (this is eternal life — John 17:3).

Key Verse Summary

  • Heb 11:6 → Faith to please God
